I’ve gone full Olympics.

I’ve gone full Olympics at this point, and there’s no stopping me. I wake up every morning between 5-6am, make coffee, and immediately dive into all things Team USA.

One thing that has struck me is the many forms of inspiration brands can take away from the Olympic spirit –

A reminder everyone needs someone to root for.

The power of teamwork and connection.

The magnetic energy of watching the best of the best do their thing.

The conversation and earned media that comes with great swag.

But what stands out most of all is the reminder
your audience is made up of millions of individuals with
big dreams.

Marketing gets a bad reputation for saying “if you do _____________, you can achieve your goals.”

But the strongest brands says to individuals,
“We see your dreams, and here’s how we will support you.”

At the end of the day, a brand is a commitment to your audience.
A way to show up for the people you serve – again, and again, and again.

The world needs good news right now, and the Olympics are a welcome respite from divisive politics, hurtful commentary, and loneliness. May these games inspire, unite, and delight us all.
